I chose to be a therapist because I have been where you are. I know what it is like to struggle with the effects of anxiety and depression, and I have been on my own healing journey for many years. I understand how important it is to be seen, heard, and validated when you are vulnerable.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Music Therapy. After that, I spent many years in office administration and management. In my late 30s, I decided to earn both my graduate degree in counseling psychology and a certification in hypnotherapy so I could open this practice. Iām a trained singer, the fun aunt, a cat mom, and an avid hiker.
I am both a LGBTQIA+ and a BIPOC ally and I endeavor to create a space where all people feel safe to be their most authentic self.
My appearance as a guest on a wonderful podcast called "A Better World with Julann and Fran". Each week, they talk to someone who is doing something to make the world a better and kinder place. I talk about my work as a trauma therapist and explain how I integrate my hypnotherapy skills into my work.
